How to keep your ice bath warranty valid

Ice bath and chiller warranties are conditional. The usual conditions are: annual service by the manufacturer-approved engineer, filter changes at the stated interval, only the approved sanitiser, operation within the stated temperature and ambient ranges, and no unauthorised repairs. Claims are refused when the operator cannot prove those conditions were met. Keep the warranty terms against the asset, every service report, a dated filter change log, your water records and photos of the installation, and you have a claim; keep it in your head and you have a bill.
Read the conditions before you need them
Record the warranty start date, length, service interval, the approved engineer, the approved consumables and any exclusions against each asset. Set the service reminder well before the due date; an overdue service is the most common reason a claim fails.
The evidence a manufacturer asks for
The last service report. The filter change history. Proof the approved sanitiser was used. Water records showing the unit was run within range. Photos or a description of how and where it was installed. An incident description with dates. If any of those is missing, expect the claim to be argued.

A non-approved engineer "just having a look". A cheaper sanitiser. Running the chiller in an unventilated cupboard above its ambient limit. Skipping a year's service because the unit seemed fine. Extending the filter past its interval. All avoidable with a rota and a record.
