Equipment review: commercial suitability

Why an asset shows as suitable, not confirmed or not suitable for commercial use.

Domestic tubs, showers and heaters are not built for the bather load, filtration turnover, disinfection and duty cycle of a paying public room, and mains equipment must carry conformity marking and sit on RCD-protected circuits with splash-rated enclosures near water. The equipment review on the Legal page checks each powered or water-contact asset against those expectations using the facts you record on it.

• Suitable: every recorded fact passes.
• Not confirmed: a fact has not been recorded - it counts as at risk, never as a pass, until you record it.
• Not suitable: a recorded fact fails - domestic-only rating, no UKCA/CE marking, no RCD, or an enclosure below IPX4 in a wet area. Each finding says what to do.
